My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Anyone out there looking for a strikingly handsome young Husky mix? I just might fill the bill for that! They tell me I’m 65 pounds, but I don’t really seem to be aware of that because I adore being a lap dog. I’m super sweet, snuggly, and I love to give out kisses. I am more than happy to relax on the couch with you or sleep at your feet at night.

Here are just a few of my favorite things to do – go on walks, car rides and meet new people. And of course, I enjoy playing in snow and the sprinklers too! I know all the commands, like, come, wait, sit, lay down, off and up. I even take treats gently. All easy peezy stuff for me! I grew up around other dogs and cats. When around other new pups though, it’s best to feed me by myself. It’s possible that I could coexist with the felines – once I get familiar with them. I am good with kids if they know how to treat me respectfully. So, older kids with good manners are more my style.

For the most part, I’m a pretty laid back doggo. Although, I do woowoo like any husky would do. In short, I’m just a sweet, happy, easy-to-please kind of guy to love.

I'm located in Clinton, Utah.

More about this rescue

We're glad you stopped by to check out our Mallies in need of their "furever" homes! We are federally recognized non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to assisting Alaskan Malamutes and their owners when in crisis throughout the Intermountain West. Please be aware that Moonsong Malamute Rescue (MMR) is not a shelter or humane society. We are affiliated with the Alaskan Malamute Assistance League (AMAL), which is the national rescue organization recognized by the Alaskan Malamute Club of America. As an affiliate to AMAL, MMR operates under AMAL's code of ethics.

We offer educational material about the Alaskan Malamute breed, can assist in resolving containment issues, are able to help an owner with appropriately re-homing their Malamute when necessary, and provide behavioral issues support in the form of referrals to trainers and other more experienced Malamute owners. These funds are also used to help care for Malamutes with adoptable personalities who have been pulled from shelters, or who have been seized by authorities after having been abandoned, neglected, or abused.
