My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Neptune & Pluto are a bro & sis who are looking for a foster or forever home. Foster-to-adopt is also an option. They are being fostered in Santa Monica, CA.

Pluto is such a sweet girl. She can be a little shy but warms up quite quickly. Pluto loves to cuddle and play with her toys. She also loves to lounge in the sun and take long cat naps. Pluto is very talkative when it is time to eat and like her brother will gobble up her food.

Pluto is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV & FeLV.

Neptune & his sister were discovered in LA in late 2020 by a kind human out in front of their apartment, just steps from a busy street, with no mama in sight. After waiting all day and no mama coming to their rescue, they joined us at CARE. They have been in a loving home after being adopted in 2020, but their current adopter works so much and is hardly home, so the kitties are not getting the adequate love and attention that they require.

We are an all volunteer, foster based rescue group and will work with you and our fosters to meet your potential pet.

More about this rescue

Through CARE we try to emphasize Compassion for all animals, raise Awareness about animals in need, encourage people to take more Responsibility for their pets, and help Educate them before they take on a new animal.

Not only are we a rescue that helps to save animals in need, but we also want to try to prevent more animals from ending up on the streets or in the shelter through knowledge. By educating people on what goes into taking care of pets, the difference in breeds and how one breed can be a better fit for a certain lifestyle than another, and about how many amazing animals are in the shelters, we hope we can start to lower the number of pets that are killed every day. It is important for people to know how many great animals are euthanized each year because of irresponsible people and bad pet owners, not bad pets. By helping to change one person at a time, we can save one animal at a time. If you CARE, we can all make a difference.

We depend on fosters to make this all possible. We welcome any and all people who are interested in helping, to ask us about our foster program and learn how you can make a huge difference and save a life. One day, we hope to have a facility and be able to create a sanctuary for animals in need, but in the mean time, we will continue to do what we can to help as many as we can.

We also depend heavily on donations from our fellow animal lovers. Every animal requires vet visits, food, supplies, and more. There is no way we could do what we do without the help of our donation angels. If you feel like helping, we take checks or you can also donate through PayPal at carerescuela@gmail.com . Every single dollar goes to the animals and we take no profit for anything. We do this because we want to make a difference and all the payment we need is seeing the happy faces of the animals we saved. (As well as the humans saved by finding their new best friends)

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about us and what we do. You can follow us on facebook, and instagram (@carerescuela ) to see recent animals saved or see animals in need. We always appreciate help with sharing dogs and cats through social media!

If you can’t adopt, foster. If you can’t foster, donate. If you can’t donate, share. Sharing is caring, and it all makes a difference!!
