My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Love dogs but not the cost of owning one? HAVE WE GOT A DEAL FOR YOU!
We are looking for a long term foster for Camilla as the cost of her food and medication is prohibitive for adopters.
Camilla is allergic to just about everything so she takes an allergy pill every morning and eats special food which is quite expensive.
We are looking for someone in town with a landscaped yard (she’s allergic to dust) and someone who is home a good deal if the time.
We will provide all food, medication, and veterinary care. We will also provide a crate as she must be crated when you leave because of separation anxiety.
Camilla is crate trained and potty trained.
Camilla is so so sweet and gets along with other dogs and kids. She hasn’t been around cats but I expect it’s not a good idea.

If you’re interested in helping Camilla please fill out our foster application.

More about this rescue

Copper's Dream Animal Rescue focuses its work on pulling dogs from high kill shelters like Bakersfield, where 50% of the 500 new dogs taken in every week are put down. We spay and neuter these animals, get them up to date on vaccinations, and then house them until loving, permanent homes can be found. To learn more or donate, visit: www.coppersdream.org.

What does the adoption fee cover? Vaccinations, spay/neuter, usually kennel cough treatment, any other medical issues and transportation and/or boarding fees if necessary. Every dollar of your adoption fee goes toward the care and treatment of our dogs.
