My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a sociable kitty with a flair for entertaining? Look no further than our Kayla! Many people are surprised to learn that Kayla is a senior cat since she has the energy and antics of a much younger feline. But she takes her role as greeter and performer quite seriously and can usually be found by the front door, ready to delight visitors.

Kayla is a very affectionate cat that likes a lot of attention and enjoys being held by her humans. She would prefer to be your only cat though she might do well with a mellow four-legged companion in a home without children. Kayla was surrendered because she was spraying due to separation anxiety. Our staff would be happy to talk with you about how to manage her behavior in your home.

More about this rescue

Established in 1982, We Care Animal Rescue is a no-kill sanctuary and shelter for homeless animals in the heart of Napa Valley. Our residents live and roam freely in communal spaces with safe access to the outdoors.

Our staff ensures animals receive daily socialization, enrichment activities, and veterinary care — particularly the elderly and those with special needs. We provide a forever home for all our animals, either through adoption to the public or with us in our sanctuary.
