Looking do add a little Catahoula crazy to your life? Zoey is on the search for her very own forever home! Zoey is a ~4 year old Catahoula Leopard dog lady, looking for an active sport savvy family to be her people. Zoey is definitely still young and nutty at heart, her favorite go-to greeting is pogo stick jumping to give face kisses. She'd love to find a family willing to guide her in her continuing education, she could use a crash course on all the basic manners and skills.
Being a Catahoula girl that came to us as a stray, we think she'd be best in a home with no cats or small animal friends. She loves to chase, and seems to have a natural hunting instinct when it comes to small critters. Zoey would do best as the only dog in your new home. She is very vocal and reactive when seeing other dogs, so will benefit from some continued training on how to coexist harmoniously around other animals. Luckily, she is VERY food motivated so that'll help in her future training endeavors.

We ask that anyone in need of surrendering an animal call for an appointment. Our name reflects our geographic service area, not a governmental body. We are a nonprofit agency dependent on private donations and are not supported by tax dollars. As a "special admission" shelter we accept all animals in need, but we do utilize an appointment policy to ensure there is space for all incoming animals. Thanks to a dedicated and caring staff and volunteers, and the monetary contributions of so many compassionate individuals and businesses in our community, we offer our animals the best of care as they await their new forever home.
