Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger is a very sweet, 8 year old boxer mix lady looking to find a family to share in her golden years. Ginger is affectionate and enjoys hanging out with her people and then napping.

SPECIAL NEEDS: Ginger has an eye condition that has led to her having very limited eyesight, and she will need life-long management to be pain-free and happy. She has been seen by the ophthalmologist at NEVO and has a plan for ongoing treatment. Ginger's new family will have to help manage her medical needs and will be compensated with kisses and snuggles.

Ginger can be nervous when first meeting new people, so it might take a little longer for her to really settle in. Because of her age and eyesight, we think Ginger would prefer a quieter home. She does have her moments where she loves rolling around with her stuffy toys.

We ask that anyone in need of surrendering an animal call for an appointment. Our name reflects our geographic service area, not a governmental body. We are a nonprofit agency dependent on private donations and are not supported by tax dollars. As a "special admission" shelter we accept all animals in need, but we do utilize an appointment policy to ensure there is space for all incoming animals. Thanks to a dedicated and caring staff and volunteers, and the monetary contributions of so many compassionate individuals and businesses in our community, we offer our animals the best of care as they await their new forever home.
