My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Beluga! This cute and curious boy is ready to be the center of your world. He was originally found abandoned in a park, so he is hoping for a forever family who will always tell him he’s a good boy. Beluga, also known as Blu, is a certified lover boy. His favorite place is right by your side, whether that’s snuggling up or destroying a toy – as long as he’s next to you he’s happy. Blu is still young so he has a lot of that puppy energy and loves to play! He proudly knows sit, down and shake and is eager to learn more. Due to his background he does have some separation anxiety so his adopter will need to build up to leaving him alone for longer periods. After being left behind, he just wants to know that his family is going to love him forever. If you’re looking for an energetic and very affectionate companion, consider adopting Beluga!
Beluga is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped!

More about this rescue

Founded by Vivian Goldbloom in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected, and homeless animals from high-volume shelters around the country.

We pride ourselves on providing the best medical care possible for our rescued animals and rehabilitating hard-to-adopt animals to help them increase their chances of finding loving homes.

Our screening process includes meet and greets, reference checks, and a visit to the potential owner’s home to ensure the home and family are compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. We do everything we can to ensure that loving homes are found for these amazing pets.

Emerald City Pet Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, and care for our animals. Above all else, we truly believe that Love Can Save Lives.
