My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Violet and Scarlett MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. See Scarlett here. [link to companion cat on the word "here"]

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat through our Owner Placement Program. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Violet (and Scarlett) is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with her current owner in San Jose. Adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.

Violet is also 4 years old. Like Scarlett she's also a sweetheart. She takes a little longer than Scarlett to come around, but she likes to be held to your chest and she will actually hug you. Just make sure her nails are trimmed because she likes to put her paws on your neck and shoulders. The girls LOVE their bed and blankets. They currently have a pet-safe heating pad placed under the bed and that seems to be their favorite spot right now while it's cold.

Violet came into the shelter with an Upper Respiratory Infection and was put on a course of Doxycycline. She has also had a dental check and cleaning. She is still under Vet follow up care and monitoring for the URI and is doing well.

Both girls are on Hill's brand foods. They are eating both the wet and dry.

Their litterbox habits have been great. They are used to unscented clumping litter and are using the box 100% of the time. They are currently using the litterbox from kitty poo club. This type of box seems to work out the best since they like to come out of the box and flick their feet,

They have not interacted with the other household cat, which is also a Sphynx, so we don't know how they would get along with other cats.

These two girls seem curious about the family's 2 dogs and will sit on the dresser to look at them when the door to the room they are in is opened. They might do well with a non aggressive cat friendly dog.

We are not sure how they are with kids, but do know they are fine with adults. As for temperament, the girls have never swatted at us or displayed any type of aggression. They will do best in a calm environment where they will be kept indoors only and receive the love and attention they crave and deserve. Sphynx breed experience is a plus !

They are both sweet girls and their foster says: " I really wish I could keep them. I love them both and know the perfect adopter will love them too. They are real treasures! "

Violet is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

She currently lives with her owner in San Jose.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Violet (and Scarlett) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam at cheemers@gmail.com or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
