Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Angel was picked up off the street in Detroit. She had two mature kittens in tow and a boyfriend! They are all delightful kitties. Angel is FIV positive but the others are all negative, so we will be retesting her. Angel is now spayed and vaccinated and just a precious fluffball. She purrs when she is spoken to or gently petted. Submit Application

Once you submit an application, one of our dedicated adoption volunteer coordinators will contact you.

2.
Meet the Pet

Some of our kitties are in foster homes and about 40 are at our shelter. So be patient! We may have to schedule a visit at a foster home.

3.
Approve Application

The volunteer adoption coordinator will call your veterinary reference and your personal references. Video home visit too!

At any given time, Ferndale Cat Shelter has at least 150-250 cats and kittens in our care. Most of those kitties are in foster homes while 40-50 may be at our shelter. We love to make the purrfect match for you so you and your kitty will live long and healthy lives together.
