My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Fraser!

This playful pup came to us from Santa Cruz County Animal Services after he was hit by a car, leading to a fractured leg.

Now in recovery, Fraser is looking for his furever home! Despite his injury, Fraser is your typical husky pup. His fosters say he loves to howl when greeting guests and new friends! He loves stuffed toys and is a very food-motivated pup, once recovered he will be a very active boy and is looking for a family who can keep up with him and allow him to take on adventures! Since he is still recovering, it is important to note he will not be able to rough-house with any other dogs in the home or perform extraneous activities until fully recovered.

Fraser does great with other dogs but can become too excited with cats, so he will need to be introduced to any cats in the home gradually overtime. Due to his breed and age, we are seeking an experienced owner who has previously owned large breed dogs like huskies and German shepherds as he can be your typical stubborn husky. He would do best in a home with adult adopters or with families that have children over the age of 10 at this time.

Fraser will require pre-registration to general puppy classes (positive reinforcement only) prior to adoption to ensure he is continuing his positive socialization and training.

Fraser is currently in foster care and meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been received and approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for our online dog application.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
