As a young pup I have so much to look forward to, and I'm ready to sprinkle some joy into your life!
Life's been a bit of a rollercoaster for me, you see. My first mom had to go do "grown-up things", and left me behind. Being left all alone made my heart a little heavy... But then an incredible human scooped me up and rescued me! Now, I'm living in a shelter, and am taken care of by wonderful volunteers. The shelter provides me with necessities, however I still yearn for the comforts of family life.
I've overheard humans saying that my face is as cute as a button! I'm simply irresistible, by all accounts. I just love to love! I get along with cats, dogs, and of course humans. While my other furry friends are fantastic, there's something special about human company that makes my tail wag extra fast.
Unfortunately, it's not a safe world for me outside of the shelter, so here I am-- stuck within these walls until something (someone!) alters my path.
Sometimes I daydream about prancing in the woods; I can smell pine, cedar, moss (is moss a thing where you live?!), and can feel the crunch of leaves under my paws. Maybe there's water nearby where I can splash around. Running around with some new buddies in a doggie park would be amazing, too! I just can't wait for these dreams to become my reality-- can you take me there?
I'm one smart pup and love to learn with the right guidance. Let me impress you with a trick or two. Maybe a high-five or a rollover? Learning is like a treat for my brain. Let's go! Sunggles on the couch also sound dreamy...
Aggression: None shown toward my animal friends or humans at the shelter. I have been so good at sharing my space with everyone.
Energy Level: Medium/high - Still a puppy, require daily physical activities.

Training: yes. - Please be patient with me. I am a very fast learner and given the opportunity, I will learn all the tricks there is in no time.

Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.
Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.
The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.
