My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Now this is a Pyrabear! 28lbs already and only 4 months old, now this is my kinda dog! No disrespect to the smaller dogs, but we have had a few smaller dogs in rescue lately and I find it so odd that 28lbs is full grown for them....like....where is the rest of them?! 🤣

Sorak is a Great Pyrenees and we have a slight suspicion that he may be mixed with some Bernese Mountain Dog. While the markings are off for him, his brother who is double his weight already I might add, looks very much like a Great Pyrenees/Berner mix. While our guess is 50% Pyr, 48% Bernese Mountain Dog, and 2% Chihuahua, you are more than welcome to throw your guesses out there. We assure you that Sorak won't care as long as you give him lots of treats and tell him what a good boy he is!

Sorak is good with other dogs and is really good at knowing when to engage with them and when to leave them alone. Sorak has no qualms about making new friends, and if he isn't the one to say hi, you can be sure that others will be flocking to him to say hello. And can you blame them? There is no resisting this boy! It almost isn't fair. Not only does this boy have the looks but he also has one of the best personalities around!

We think that Sorak would prefer a more active lifestyle and would enjoy outings with his family. He is on the more active side and often continues playing with toys while his brother is napping. A short nap is all he needs for a reboot before he is back to playing again! If you are looking for a dog to go on hikes with you, Sorak is your guy. Now, there is a catch to that. If the weather is above 65 degrees I hope you brought your Sorak-size backpack along because this dude has no interest in being out in the heat. While everyone was enjoying our recent 70-degree day, Sorak said "No Thank You" and wanted to stay inside and when he did go out tried his darnest to stay in the shade. Sorak loves all toys and we expect him to be signing up for the "No Toy Left Behind Movement" very soon.

Sorak is going to be a big guy. We are estimating that he will top out somewhere in the 90-100lb range. So, as cute as he may be right now....it is important that you still think he is cute when he is full-grown and decides to take a seat right on top of you. Other potential hazards of living with a Pyrabear are the famous(or rather infamous) Pyr Paw and getting him checked. ;) Since Sorak is going to be a bigger fella, we are going to go out on a limb and say that apartment living is probably not in the cards for this boy. Unless you have an exceptionally big apartment. Otherwise, your small apartment is going to get a lot smaller and you will constantly find yourself trying to navigate past his big ole booty that seems to grow daily.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help Sorak become the best boy possible. This means that you are ready to go through the "oh-so-fun" potty training stage. And, of course, you cannot forget the chewing stage. Looks like spring cleaning is coming early this year! Making sure that he is allowed to befriend new people and other animals outside the family/home should also be high on the list, along with proper training so when he weighs more than your youngest child....he will at least have good manners...and if you did your job right....maybe even better manners than your child! ;)

Believe this handsome casanova belongs with your family? Then, get your app in ASAP. A puppy like this doesn't come along every day ya know! ;)
