My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🎉 Introducing the one and only Yolanda - the PYRFECT companion for all you fellow homebodies out there! 🏡🐾

Are you someone who enjoys quiet evenings, cozy blankets, and the occasional Netflix binge? Yolanda is your spirit animal in fur form! This delightful canine is an introvert extraordinaire, preferring the comfort of her favorite spot on the couch over a noisy day at the park. Unlike some dogs who thrive on constant action, Yolanda finds too much excitement rather...well, exhausting! Loud noises? Pass. High-energy activities? Not her cup of tea. She's not anti-social; she just prefers a more intimate circle of friends (preferably those who also enjoy lounging around). Yolanda's introverted nature means she's not the life of the party, but she's definitely the queen of comfort. If you need a partner for a Netflix binge or a snuggle buddy for a rainy day, she's your girl. Just don't expect her to fetch the newspaper; she's too busy dreaming of her next nap!

Yolanda, is a 2-year-old, 86-pound Great Pyrenees with a heart as fluffy as her fur! She's reached that perfect age where she's mastered the art of lounging, yet she's still young enough to entertain the idea of learning new tricks... or at least pretending to listen when you try to teach her! Yolanda, is the epitome of elegance and fluffiness! She will generously sprinkle her fluffy blessings on everything you own, from your favorite sweater to your prized armchair—consider it her way of adding a touch of elegance to your life!

Beyond her fluffy antics, Yolanda is a sensitive soul. Change isn't her favorite cup of tea, and she's been on quite the odyssey since she strolled up to someone's doorstep and decided to make herself at home. They weren't able to keep her and when no one came looking for her, we welcomed her to our fluffy butt family. Adapting to new environments takes time for her, and until she feels secure, she's always on high alert. Quick movements, loud noises, and disruptions to her routine still give her the jitters. But fear not, for beneath that fluff and nervousness lies a heart of gold. Yolanda may be cautious with unfamiliar things, but her love for people and attention shines through. She's not exactly shy, just a bit selective about her comfort zone. Being bounced around has been a journey for her, but she's turning that experience into wisdom. Think of her as the canine equivalent of an intricate puzzle—each piece representing a unique quirk that makes her oh-so-special. And as she settles into her foster home, learning the rhythms of daily life, she's blossoming like a shy flower finally stretching towards the sun. It's a joy to witness her cautious steps turning into confident strides, proving that even the most introverted souls have a radiant inner light waiting to shine.

Now, onto her dream lifestyle. Yolanda envisions a home where the most exciting activity is choosing between her favorite napping spots. She's not anti-fun; she just believes that fun should come with a side of fluffy comfort and ample nap breaks. On the leash, she's a bit like a detective on her first case—tentative steps, careful observations, and a touch of hesitation before venturing beyond familiar territory. Perhaps she's investigating the great outdoors for clues on how to properly enjoy a walk. Fetch? Toys? Yolanda's idea of playtime is watching the world go by from her comfy spot, occasionally gracing you with a "what's that?" glance when something mildly interesting happens. Once she settles in, she might surprise everyone with bursts of playfulness and interactive antics, adding a delightful sprinkle of unpredictability to her serene demeanor. Water activities remain a mystery, possibly because she's too busy perfecting her art of fluffy elegance to dabble in aquatic adventures. You could say that Yolanda is a reluctant road-tripper! Convincing her to hop into the car is like negotiating with a fluffy diplomat—she might need a little bribery in the form of treats and gentle reassurance. Once inside, she adopts the "lie down and contemplate life" pose, complete with a furrowed brow that suggests she's pondering the existential questions of doghood.

When it comes to Yolanda's got that friendly charm down pat! She'll graciously accept attention and affection, all while maintaining a dignified distance from the hustle and bustle. Jumping on people? Not in her playbook. Yolanda prefers to make an entrance with grace and poise, like a canine debutante at a gala. When it comes to her canine counterparts, she's as cool as a cucumber—indifferent yet polite, like a furry diplomat at a diplomatic summit for pets. Another dog in her new home? Not necessarily, especially if there's a human around to keep her company and cater to her every nap-related need. Cats? Meh, they're just part of the furniture as far as Yolanda is concerned. Indifference seems to be her default mode, which is a testament to her peaceful coexistence skills. Now, kids... They're a bit of an unknown adventure for our Pyrabear. Yolanda's gentle nature means she might bond well with older, calmer kids who understand the art of peaceful coexistence. However, the energy levels of young, bouncy kiddos might leave her feeling like she's at a puppy rave—a bit overwhelmed and in need of a quiet corner.

Now onto Yolanda's house manners—where elegance meets tranquility! Yolando is still in the process of warming up to new surroundings, so a bustling apartment complex might not be her ideal hangout as of right now. On the bright side, this regal lady is impeccably potty trained, leaving no surprises for her human subjects. However, she's not one for the confines of a kennel—she prefers the freedom to roam and nap in her chosen spots. As for barking, she's more of a silent observer, preferring to express herself through soulful gazes rather than loud woofs. Chewing and digging are simply not her style; she's more interested in finding the best spot to nap and watch over everything. In terms of trust, Yolando is as reliable as they come. With her calm demeanor and respectful nature, you can feel confident giving her free roam of the house, knowing she'll treat it with the same gentle care she shows to her favorite napping spots.
