Hi y’all! Yes, I am as regal and polite as my name suggests. A bit shy maybe, but playful.
Here is my story, I used to have a home and lived with a family that had a young child. Apparently the young child would play with me very roughly and the family decided to give me away. I guess it was just more convenient for them. They handed me over to a man who owned a coffee shop. I basically spent all my days there. Then the man decided that he wanted to sell me again, in a crowded bazaar. My rescuer found out about me and decided to just go and get me straight from the coffee shop. Honestly, thank God she rescued me! God knows where I would’ve ended up!
Currently I am staying in a boarding facility until I find a home. My rescuer is very hopeful that I will be able to find a home in Canada.

I get along very well with people and other dogs. I haven’t been tested with cats yet. I think it would be safe to stay away from them for now.
One thing that they have noticed at the boarding facility, is that when they try to hold me from behind or scratch my behind, I get a bit defensive. I have never shown any aggression towards people when they do that, but I just don’t like it at all! nobody knows why.
If I could speak, I could probably write a book about my previous trauma, but unfortunately I can’t. My phobia with my back has gotten so much better though, and I am confident that it will continue to improve with the loving care I will hopefully get from you!

Fears: I do not like being touched on my behind, but I have improved a lot in the past few months. Other than that I’m not afraid of much. I will need time to get used to my new environment when I get to Canada.

Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.
While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs.
The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.
Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
[MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.
[TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis.
