Meet Trisha! She is a sweet, little girl who was found living outside only a few months old. Now, she is just over a year old and looking for her forever home!
She was very scared her first couple months here and mainly hid in the cat trees. After working with her daily, she’s opened up a bunch and now purrs up a storm for pets!
She is very mellow and relaxed for being so young, she’s friendly with everyone she’s met but we don’t recommend a super busy home environment for her. She also tends to get pushed around by our other cats here, and would do best in a home with people only or with very friendly other pets. Help Trisha find a home and family to love her and give her a great kitty life!

More about this rescue
Ahimsa Safe Haven is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit located in Onsted, MI. We are a forever home to cats with feline leukemia, abandoned small farm animals and aquatic life. We also rescue and rehome kittens. What does Ahimsa mean? Essentially, at the most basic level, ahimsa is the concept that we are all connected, and any harm done to others is harm done to oneself. We are unique because we rescue small farm animals from cruelty and slaughter situations. We also provide a forever home to cats with Feline Leukemia, that would have otherwise been euthanized just because they tested positive. We are big in adopting out rescued cats and kittens. We also rescue aquatic life that have been completely abandoned. With all of the lives we save, we use their stories to help educate and connect the world into thinking differently. Ahimsa is a rescue that the community can come experience, interact and connect with all kinds of animals that would otherwise have been sacrificed to feed them.
