My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Soulful, Adventurous, Intelligent

Plop! The second Shelly sees you, she will hit the floor to show you her fuzzy belly! This sweet girl loves to snuggle, especially on the couch. Sometimes, Shelly's love-o-meter will get so full when snuggling that she will burst with excitement and dash up the stairs, running up and down until her energy has dissipated. Shelly's love for her favorite person is so vast that she would even prefer to eat treats out of your hand! Shelly's only request when it comes to expressing affection is to not be picked up.

Shelly's energy levels grow when there are toys in the scene. She loves to leap and bound after string toys as they race across the floor and glide through the air. When Shelly hears her favorite toy, she will immediately come running. When there are no toys around, Shelly makes use of her energy by exploring. She is so good at investigating that some people call her Sherlock!

Shelly has increasingly let her personality show throughout her time in foster, and her companionship has only gotten better with time. Shelly is low maintenance and is not very picky, so just about any home would fit her definition of the purr-fect forever home. As long as she has a comfy spot to sleep throughout the day, she will be one happy feline. We think that Shelly would probably be happiest as the lone cat in her forever home.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
