My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi everyone! I'm Jasper! I'm a 7 yr old Great Pyrenees/Lab Mix and my foster parents think I'm super cute! I absolutely love anyone that wants to love me and I enjoy hanging out with my foster parents as much as possible. I am well trained and pretty smart! You can count on me to listen to "Sit, Stay, Down, and Come."  My vet says I am perfectly healthy and have the "bloodwork of a puppy!' I have two male cat friends that live with me, and I think they're pretty fun. I've also had dog friends that I've played with in the past. My foster parents are always sure to properly introduce me to other dogs. Whenever the introduction has been slow, I do great! I enjoy time in the backyard and on walks. Sometimes I get a bit anxious and excited when I see other dogs on walks, but my foster parents bring treats and ask me to "Sit + Wait," and that always works like a charm! When I'm not outside, you can catch me snoozing in the house.

My ideal home would be a quiet adult-only home with people that will understand and respect my boundaries as I can be a nervous guy at times. Young toddlers aren't my favorite people to hang out with as the calm makes me feel more at ease. I don't have livestock guardian dog experience, but my foster parents think I would be great at it! If you are seeking a companion dog that will bond with you, I'm your guy!  Jasper is being fostered in Gig Harbor, WA and we would like to keep him in WA-OR.
