My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Mowgli, like the Disney movie, but sometimes my foster parents call me Buddy, cause I’m a good walking buddy! I'm a sweet boy who enjoys walks, playing with other dogs, and getting lots of treats. I'm a smart boy, food motivated to learn new things and very curious - the world is an interesting place! I'm crate and potty trained and although I'm a Great Dane mix, I still have a lot of puppy energy and love to run around!

I've recovered from 2 foreign body surgeries and a leg fracture repair already in my short life. I can only be trusted with hard toys and bones while I'm still learning not to eat things I'm not supposed to, and I should always be supervised while enjoying these chew treats. I came to RCHS after eating a sock, but I'm all fixed up now and ready for my forever home!

I'm still a puppy and trying to learn about the big world around me, but I must say I'm pretty mature for my age. My skills include sitting (especially for treats or peanut butter), letting you know when I need to potty if you don’t have a doggy door (if you do have one I've got you covered for those cold days), picking good sticks on walks, getting along with everyone I meet, playing with myself if I’m bored, and napping. I'm learning that I’m a big goof ball and my paws are big.

Do you need a running buddy? I’d make an excellent one!
