Hi there! My name is Valentino. As you can see from my photos, I have adorable ears and my foster parents tell me I’m a very handsome boy. I’m approximately 1.5 years old and love puzzle toys and playing with my stuffies. The most important thing to know about me is I’ve never met a human or dog I haven’t liked (my foster parents say I’m like Dug: “I have just met you and I LOVE YOU.”)
Valentino's greatest hits:
-Playful, goofy, affectionate terrier/super mutt mix with a moderate energy level
-Perfectly sized (~15 pounds) for outdoor activities or snuggling up on the couch at home
-Housebroken (zero accidents/marking in foster home)
-Crate trained (sleeps soundly in crate at night, is non-destructive in crate when home alone, and generally views crate as safe/soothing space)
-No separation anxiety
-No food aggression or resource guarding
-Learns routines quickly
-Working on basic commands and leash skills; eager to please and learn
-Currently fostered with a male and female dog
-Happy to entertain himself or play with others (loves to run with other dogs and play tug-o-war/keep away)
Valentino could do well as an only dog or could do super well with a well-matched dog friend!

Interested in adopting?
1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application
2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call!
3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home
Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time.
