My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wiggles, a truly remarkable canine with an indomitable spirit that will capture your heart. Wiggles' journey began as a stray, and despite facing adversity, she remains an embodiment of joy and resilience.

Wiggles, unfortunately, faces a physical challenge as she is completely paralyzed in her hind end. Remarkably, this doesn't hinder her zest for life. Unable to use her back legs, Wiggles requires assistance with bladder and bowel care, a task our dedicated staff is more than willing to guide you through if you decide to welcome her into your home.

Despite her past, Wiggles radiates love and enthusiasm, particularly towards people. Her affectionate nature extends to her interactions with other dogs, showcasing her social charm. Wiggles' spirit is truly infectious, and she thrives on forming connections with those around her.

An expert cuddler, Wiggles always seeks to be the center of attention, melting hearts with her irresistible personality. Though she can't walk conventionally, she has perfected the art of bouncing around and will eagerly try to hop up onto anyone who approaches her. Her disability doesn't dampen her happiness; in fact, she stands out as one of the happiest dogs we've ever encountered.

Wiggles possesses some unique physical features that add to her charm. Her ears have an endearing quirk – one is perpetually standing up, while the other gracefully flops down. Paired with her infectious smile, showcasing a set of adorable chiclet-like teeth, Wiggles is undeniably a little star.

Prospective adopters for Wiggles should have experience caring for special needs dogs and be ready to meet her specific veterinary needs. Additionally, her ideal home would involve minimal periods of being alone, as Wiggles thrives on human attention. If you are ready to open your heart to this extraordinary canine companion, Wiggles is waiting to bring endless joy and love into your life. Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
