My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Neo is a 7 year old male lab x who came to us in June of last year, was adopted in July ‘23, and found himself back with us in Feb '24 as he was getting growly with the young kids. He’s a very friendly boy, but as with lots of seniors, prefers the less chaos of adults. He also would prefer to be the only dog. This handsome guy will be the best companion, he loves to be close. Someone please come bail him outta here!

More about this shelter

The Lewis County Humane Society is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which owns and operates a no-kill animal shelter on the Pine Grove Rd in Glenfield, NY. That shelter is contracted with the townships in Lewis County to house dogs brought in from the townships by the dog control officers. The shelter also houses homeless cats from the county.
Our shelter relies on the generosity of our supporters because shelter expenses far exceed our revenue. We greatly appreciate all your support which enables us to care for and find new homes for all the wonderful animals at our shelter.
