My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Esmeralda, a resilient and loving brindle beauty with a heart full of warmth. This sweet girl answers to many nicknames, but "Ezzie" is the one that has truly stuck!

Esmeralda's journey to us was one of survival and motherhood. She arrived malnourished, pregnant, and in an overcrowded shelter. Despite her hardships, Esmeralda gave birth to 7 precious puppies. While celebrating the joy of new life, she also experienced the heartbreak of losing 2 of her little ones shortly after birth. Undeterred, Esmeralda poured her love and protection into the remaining 5, ensuring they thrived.

With multiple meals a day, Esmeralda has made an incredible recovery, gaining over 10lbs! She's not just a survivor; she's a testament to resilience and the transformative power of care and compassion.

Esmeralda is more than her past. She's a lover of walks, showcasing impeccable leash manners. Her desire for snuggles and belly rubs is boundless, revealing her longing for connection. Remarkably, she has demonstrated her commitment to potty training, peacefully lays in a crate, and is ready to leave behind the shadows of her past for a brighter future.

This beautiful soul is yearning for a family to call her own. Esmeralda is ready to share her love, joy, and newfound zest for life. If you're seeking a companion who embodies strength, resilience, and affection, Ezzie is the perfect addition to your home.

Ezzie is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccinations and preventatives. This adorable house hippo is ready for her forever home! If you are interested in meeting this girl, please complete an application on our website
