Here's what the humans have to say about me:
** If you are interested in adopting Wiley, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ **
There's nothing quite like puppy energy and silliness!
Wiley was found walking down the street in Houston TX and brought into a small, high kill shelter.
Wiley has a very sweet, very goofy personality. He is a playful, happy puppy.
Wiley is believed to be a Blue Heeler / Australian Shepherd mix. He is 4 months old, and currently 16 lbs. His estimated full grown weight is around 45 lbs.
Since Wiley is just a puppy, he's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show him the way.
Farfel's Rescue feels very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement/force-free training. (Especially puppies!!)
We therefore aren't willing to adopt out to a home that doesn't choose to offer this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement/force-free virtual and in-person trainers in your area.
Wiley is up to date on his vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs.
Extensive new research shows that Wiley is too young to be neutered at this time. When he's approximately 8-10 months old, Farfel's covers the full cost of his neuter, and it is REQUIRED to finalize your adoption.
Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year.
