My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gracie is a docile 6 year old German Shepherd who was surrendered to our center after the passing of her former guardian. Gracie has lost the only home and family member she has known and is looking to become a loyal member of a new family. Gracie has lived as a single dog with a single person, so ideally, we would like to see her adopted back into a similar situation. Gracie is extremely friendly and well mannered. Gracie may be okay in a home with larger dogs but since she has never lived with children, we would like to see her go into a adult only home. Gracie will need a home with a yard and someone willing to be patient with allowing her to become acclimated to her new environment.

Famous Fido was founded by Gloria Lissner who has been independently rescuing dogs from the death rows of kill shelters since 1975. She officially opened Famous Fido Rescue & Adoption Alliance in July 2010. All our dogs recieve the necessary vet care and treatment is never refused. Famous Fido has developed a full merchandise line, starting with our all natural dog treats to support our rescue efforts. Our products are available for purchase on our website. The mission of FFRAA is to form an alliance with similar organizations to increase community awareness, public consciences and create a No Kill Nation.
