My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Has manageable medical needs.
Lenny has come a long way since arriving in care as a stray in May 2023. When he first came to us, he was incredibly shy and nervous. Over time, however, Lenny has slowly built his confidence at his own pace. One of the keys to Lenny’s progress has been cat TV, which reliably draws him out of hiding and sparks his curiosity. These days, he can often be found watching intently and even quietly socializing with our shelter felines, Bellatrix and Sienna. Lenny would do best in a calm, predictable home and will need a gentle, easygoing feline companion to help him feel safe and continue building confidence. With patience and understanding, Lenny will make a deeply rewarding companion for someone who appreciates a soft, steady kind of love.

More about this shelter

The Gananoque & District Humane Society (GDHS) is a volunteer run no kill animal shelter that takes in abandoned or surrendered animals, provides them with medical care and attempts to find them forever homes. Every animal that enters GDHS is quarantined, assessed and examined by a vet (if necessary), spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given vaccinations prior to being available for adoption. We do not receive guaranteed funding from any source and rely on the generosity of our community.
