My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy is a big, beautiful, affectionate dog that has spent too much of his young life in rescue! He and his brother, Hobbs, were adopted together as babies, and again as older puppies, but have found their way back to rescue. At this point, it would probably be best if they are separated so that they aren't an overwhelming pair! Buddy knows a few basic commands like sit. While hes good on a walk, he is strong and will need someone who can manage him and work with him on more leash training. He is still a playful dog and has some anxiety if left alone particularly if crated. This guy likes to be active, so an active family where he can get lots of exercise would be perfect. He will need a family that understands that even though hes a big boy, hes still a young, and needs someone who will take the time to work with him. Buddy will also need a secure, fenced in yard. Buddy really is a great dog he just needs that special someone who will be dedicated to him. Could that someone be you?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.

Our pets all live in our homes, so adoption applications must be submitted for appointments to be made to see the pets. We also have them with us at our outdoor events, so view our "events" calendar on our website for those dates and locations.
