Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zane is a 1.5-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier/Poodle mix. He had little to no human contact for the first 9 months of his life and then lived in a shelter with his sister, so humans and the world are scary! Once he trusts his human he wants nothing but love from them. It will take time to earn his trust. He needs kind patient people that are willing to slowly interact with him and not move too fast to try and gain his trust. He is very smart and won't be fooled by treats. Zane requires a fenced in yard and a leash in the yard for the first month or you will not be able to get him inside. He needs to be able to trust his new owners and home before he will come inside willingly. He's great with dogs and cats and just wants to snuggle with his human. He can coexist with older kids that know to take it slow and not move too fast. If you are willing to put the love, time, and patience into this sweet boy he will return the same to you.
Zane is a 1 yr. old Chihuahua/Poodle mix. This 12 lb boy is great with other dogs. Zane is neutered and up to date on shots.
Adoption fee is $450

More about this rescue
Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.
PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
