My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dani is a sweet, dainty girl. SHR rescued this doll just in the nick of time. She was out of time and on the euthanasia list. When we went to meet her and she was a little shy and seemed scared and overwhelmed by all the noise and commotion at the shelter. She was in her kennel with her tail between her legs and backed into the corner. However, once we got her outside somewhere quiet and calm she loosened up and began to want attention. By the time we left with her she was sitting up in the back seat looking out the window.

She is a medium sized dog and only weighs about 35 or 40 pounds. She looks to be a cross between a Basenji and a Shiba Inu. She is good with other dogs, as we tested her with three different dogs. (She also rode loose in the car with two other dogs and they are were friendly with each other).

Please consider giving Dani a chance. She just wants a nice comfortable place where she can be happy. Let’s get this little girl out of boarding and into a foster or forever home where she can flourish!

Go meet their pets

Scout's Honor Rescue does not currently have its own facility to keep the animals in its adoption program. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog or cat at their residence until it is adopted. Consider opening your home to a dog or cat in need. You become the caregiver to a precious animal – their future is in your hands! It is incredibly rewarding to know that you have given that animal the two most precious gifts- Life and Love. For many of them, this is the first kind hand they have known.
