My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Obi - The Dashing Gentleman of Playfulness!

Obi is a dashing male kitten with a striking tuxedo fur, making him not just a charming companion but also a fashion icon in the feline world. With his playful nature and friendly demeanor, Obi is ready to win hearts and become the perfect addition to your family.

Obi is always playful and sometimes energetic, ensuring that there's never a dull moment in his company. His laid-back and calm disposition adds a touch of serenity to his playful antics, creating a perfect balance of fun and relaxation.

This handsome gentleman is never shy or fearful; instead, he exudes confidence and curiosity, always eager to explore and discover new adventures. Obi is a social butterfly who loves the company of both cats and dogs, showcasing his friendly and adaptable nature. He's even known to cuddle up next to his foster's dog on the bed, indulging in some "nursing" on a cozy sherpa blanket.

Obi is a toy enthusiast, always ready to chase toys along the floor and engage in play with toys that allow him to pounce and show off his agility. Whether he's watching the world from the window or lounging around, Obi knows how to enjoy life to the fullest.

One of Obi's favorite pastimes is accompanying his foster mom while she works, often found sleeping on the desk or seeking attention and affection. He loves being handled and getting attention from both children and adults, making him a versatile and lovable companion.

If you're looking for a charming and playful addition to your family, Obi is the purrfect choice. With his friendly nature, love for human interaction, and stylish tuxedo fur, he's sure to bring joy and laughter into your home. Don't miss the chance to make Obi a cherished member of your family!

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue. Adoption events are held regularly in the community at Petco Winchester and some kittens are housed at the Petco in Warrenton. Additional events are held at area festivals, wineries, breweries, and parks. Approved adopters can schedule a private meet and greet with their chosen pet.

More about this rescue

Shady’s Paw Animal Rescue works to improve the lives of cats and the people who care for them in Lake Holiday and the surrounding areas through 1) TNR and colony management, 2) fostering and adoptions, 3) educating the public on best practices for feline care in the home or colony setting, and 4) supporting the needs of cats in the communities we serve.
