We aren't sure what Jewels' background was, but when she came to LCCR, she was scared, so the first part of her foster life was spent hissing and growling at other cats and just couldn't even comprehend the idea of human companionship. That could be because she was a new mom, and she was protecting her baby. But after her kitten was adopted, and she moved to a new foster home where she felt more comfortable, her demeanor completely changed. She loves being an indoor cat and would make a wonderful companion!
Jewels, like the other fosters in her foster home, loves hanging by the window in the sun. She enjoys chasing other cats playfully and engaging with cat toys. But she also craves the attention of her people, especially being near them and being pet, as she immediately will start purring. She doesn't mind being picked up and held, but she hasn't been TOO keen on being a lap cat yet. She may get there, but she is still an extrovert with people. She hasn't been exposed to other dogs or kids, but she may be okay with proper introductions. She is an enjoyable companion with a big heart, and as a happy cat, she deserves a happy life!
Jewels was born in 2018 and is currently living in a foster home in Lemoyne. Since Jewels is such a special cat with LCCR, she had a watercolor portrait done by a local artist, and that will be given as our gift to the special person who adopts her.
Jewels' adoption donation is $75 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing (negative), spay and microchip.
