My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name's Morticia, and I'm looking for a new family who will help me trust again. My former owners have left me with some emotional scars, and I will need a patient and loving new family to help me overcome my past.

I was literally thrown into the lobby of the shelter in a carrier. Because of this trauma it has taken me some time to learn that the people here at Heal are only here to help me. I've started to come out of my shell and trust again, but I'll need my new family to help me continue on this journey.

I'm up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and I have tested negative for feline leukemia.

I'm looking for an adult only home where I can adjust and love my new family in my own time.

If you have the patience and love to help me overcome my past, please come meet me at Heal.

More about this shelter

The Animal Friends of Westmoreland is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned and abused dogs and cats. It depends on donations, sponsorships and other tangible support from local residents and businesses.

Our vision is a self sustaining, no-kill shelter which will house the animals until they find their forever home. Additionally, it is our goal to breed awareness, stimulate education and inspire the public to become animal advocates.

The Animal Friends of Westmoreland is a voice for those that cannot speak. Join us in speaking for those that need us most . . . the animals.
