My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cupid has arrived Ladies and Gentlemen! Ranger is the perfect young man (turned 2 in November) that any Doberman lover would want. He has several trainings under his belt and has even passed his Level 1 Obedience class. Ranger has the personality to become a great working dog or family pet. So, why is this handsome fella at the rescue? Sadly, at no fault of his own his family developed allergies and could no longer keep him.

Currently, Ranger lives with his foster family that has a 7 month old and 3 other female red Doberman Pinschers. Ranger is such a gentlemen with his foster baby sister. He gives her gentle kisses and will check on her when she is upset. He loves to play with his foster Doberman sisters too. He knows to respect their space when they've had enough or if they snap at him, he will walk away. Ranger shows no food, treat or toy aggression. When he meets new people he is shy at first until his handler/owner tells him it's alright. Afterwards he is your instant best friend. He loves to snuggle, play ball, learn new tricks and give kisses. Ranger gets excited when he sees the leash because he loves to go on adventures with his humans and on walks. He does well on a leash, knows sit, down, shake and stay. He is working on "place" and "leave it". Ranger takes a simple verbal correction well and loves to be praised or given treats for being a good boy.
