My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cheyenne is a 9 year old Senior girl who was surrendered to rescue with her younger “sister” Shiloh after their owner died. Arrangements had been made with a family friend to take the girls but the woman’s Great Dane didn’t agree with this idea. Along her transport to Bluegrass Doberman Rescue transporters felt she had some hip issues but we are suspecting Wobblers and are managing her symptoms.  Her bloodwork also indicated she is hypothyroid.  Cheyenne doesn’t let any of this get her down and is a happy dobie girl.  She’s a petite lady who loves everyone she meets.  She wiggles her little tail at people and enjoys the company of other dogs.  She got the wild idea that she could chase some kitties but soon found that she doesn’t move like she used to and the cats would jump up high and give a head swat for even thinking that was a good idea.  For now Cheyenne is getting settled into her foster home and loving her soft cushy bed.
UPDATE: As Cheyenne settled into her foster and started on her thyroid meds, she is an energetic and happy girl who LOVES ATTENTION. Her walking has improved (though still a little off), she very active and bouncing around. She’s house trained, food motivated, takes her meds easily and would love to find a forever home!
