My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Colorado!
This scruffy gentleman is hoping to zoom his way into your heart and home. He's got a lot of energy and loves nothing more than sprinting around the yard at top speed. When he's done a couple laps, though, he's ready for some lovings and belly rubs. Colorado does get stressed when left alone, so he's hoping to find a family that will be around most of the time and is willing to do some training to help him settle when alone. Colorado can be too energetic and intense for most dogs, so he would either need to be the only pet or go home with a playful and tolerant companion. He is the perfect size at just over 37 lbs and isn't expected to get any bigger.

**Colorado is in our special adoption program which sets our adopters up for success. If you are interested in him, please email Claire at cshamgochian@parl.org to learn more and set up a meet and greet**

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.

When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.

If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
