Here's what the humans have to say about me:
To apply or see more of Lily, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2024/2/11/lily
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FOSTER, FOSTER TO ADOPT OR ADOPTER ASAP! PLEASE complete our foster or adoption form to get started! Already have an app on file? Email info@heartsforpawsrescue.com
Lily is a sweet 2 year old spayed, 55 lb pit mix in need of a new home.
Adopted through HFP 1.5 years ago, she was originally rescued through Los Banos shelter where she came from a property with 10 other dogs. She was set to be euthanized due to time/space, but thanks to her foster/adopter was saved!
Unfortunately, Lily is no longer getting along with the other dog in the home. Though they do well the majority of the time and play/cuddle, in the past 3 months there have been a handful of incidences that have led the family to decide it is in everyone’s best interest to find Lily a new home.
Lily has professional training under her belt with Tug Dogs — she is working on polite leash walking. She has a rough/tumble playstyle that not all dogs appreciate; due to her resource guarding against dogs (including human affection), she would thrive as an only pet in the home.
She is currently left alone long hours and is house trained with access to the yard/doggy door; no sep anxiety, she is fine meeting new people and very cuddly/affectionate with those she loves.
Lily is currently located in DIXON, CA
Adoption Donation Sponsored — Lily’s adoption donation has been waived to qualified, committed adopters
Interested in adopting?
1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application
2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call!
3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home
Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time.

Our number one goal is to adopt good dogs to great homes, so that no dog is left behind. Our animals are spayed/neutered (or will be released with a voucher and agreement to provide proof of certificate within vet-approved date).
We wish for our rescue dogs to be fully immersed in your lives, and be treated like true, loved members of the family.
All Adopters must sign a waiver release/memorandum of Understanding with completion of Adoption.
