I'm Kovu, a friendly and affectionate pup who adores hugs and cuddles! While I might be a bit shy at first, once I warm up to you, I'm all about spreading the love. I enjoy the company of people and love nothing more than snuggling up next to my favorite human.

I have a medium energy level, which means I'm up for a good play session or a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood. I'm not too high-strung, but I do enjoy staying active and exploring new places.

Good news! I appear to be housetrained, so you may not have to worry about any accidents indoors. I'm a smart cookie and eager to learn new tricks or commands. I am not much of a fan of other animals, and would prefer to be your only four-legged best friend!

Fill out a Meet Your Match questionnaire, spend some time getting to know the pet you are considering taking home, and talk to an adoption counselor.
Each animal will leave the Center spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heartworm (dogs) or FeLV/FIV (cats) tested, de-wormed, treated for fleas/ticks, given heartworm preventative if applicable and microchipped.

McKamey Animal Center in Chattanooga, TN, first opened its doors to the city’s homeless pets in July 2008. A leader in animal welfare both locally and nationally, the nonprofit shelter’s mission is to enhance the lives of companion animals and people by encouraging a culture of responsibility and compassion. As an open admission facility, the Center provides animal services and care for any animal in the city of Chattanooga regardless of age, breed, health, and temperament. McKamey has a number of thriving programs to benefit companion animals and people including adoption, foster, rescue, trap-neuter-return for feral cats, and humane education.
