Meet Braxton, the epitome of a relaxed and friendly companion! With a loose, wiggly, and relaxed body language, Braxton exudes an aura of warmth and comfort. His energy level is moderate, offering the perfect balance of activity and calmness. Braxton has never met a stranger! He eagerly greets most people with excitement and happiness, his tail wagging in anticipation of making new friends. His affable nature makes him a beloved presence among shelter visitors and staff. Braxton's interactions with other dogs and animals may be reactive at times. However, despite this, he is mostly relaxed in his kennel, showcasing his sweet and gentle demeanor. Braxton is a super sweet boy with a heart full of love to give. Whether he's lounging in his kennel or enjoying a leisurely walk, he's sure to bring joy and comfort into your life with his easygoing personality.

Fill out a Meet Your Match questionnaire, spend some time getting to know the pet you are considering taking home, and talk to an adoption counselor.
Each animal will leave the Center spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heartworm (dogs) or FeLV/FIV (cats) tested, de-wormed, treated for fleas/ticks, given heartworm preventative if applicable and microchipped.

McKamey Animal Center in Chattanooga, TN, first opened its doors to the city’s homeless pets in July 2008. A leader in animal welfare both locally and nationally, the nonprofit shelter’s mission is to enhance the lives of companion animals and people by encouraging a culture of responsibility and compassion. As an open admission facility, the Center provides animal services and care for any animal in the city of Chattanooga regardless of age, breed, health, and temperament. McKamey has a number of thriving programs to benefit companion animals and people including adoption, foster, rescue, trap-neuter-return for feral cats, and humane education.
