My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amba came into rescue after living outside a restaurant with her canine family. Understandably, she is shy and still learning how to dog.

In her foster home, Amba loves to play with the resident dog and has warmed most quickly to her foster mom. She also lives with a young child who can sometimes be intimidating to her but she's tolerant of his wild side.

Amba was born around 11/22/23 and weighed 23 pounds on 3/14/24.  She will likely be large when fully grown.  She came from Cherokee with her 3 litter mates.

Amba is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and started on monthly flea/heartworm prevention.  Her adoption fee is $350 and you can apply to adopt at mpravl.org

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
