Raven von Ramberg is a beautiful, 9-10 month-old, long-haired German Shepherd. This stunning girl takes people-pleasing to the max. She absolutely adores being around humans, from prancing around together on the leash to cozying up for endless cuddles and kisses. She greets everyone kindly and is always happy to make a new friend. Raven has great leash manners, walking in heel position and taking guidance from you along the way and, off the leash, she is just as poised. She enjoys meeting other dogs too, in both walk and playgroup environments, though she prefers them to be polite and mid-energy like her and not too pushy. Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.

Upon receipt of your application, a Westside adoption counselor will contact you.We do aerial home checks and you may be asked to supply pictures as well as arranging for a home visit prior to adoption.
Adoption fees vary with each dog and typically range from $150 to $500. They are set, taking into account the dog's age, training level, temperament, if they’re newly arrived, medical condition(s) (if any) and other factors. Adoption fees are used not only to rescue and place the dog you are personally adopting, but to aid in the future rescue and rehabilitation of other deserving dogs. Adoption fees are necessary; without fees, our rescue efforts would quickly come to an end. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations.
