My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE NOT OWNED A PERSIAN OR HIMALAYAN CAT!! Whitey is an Exotic Longhair at 5 yrs. of age. He is laid back likes to play. He is used to sleeping in round kitty beds and does not like to be bathed and dried. He has dirty eyes that must be cleaned every day. He is good with having his nails trimmed. Whitey gets a heavy coat that needs a lot of grooming or you may opt to shave him. If interested in giving Whitey his forever safe, indoor home, please email the rescue for an adoption application at ccrescue614@yahoo.com. One of our volunteers will send you one ASAP. YOU CAN ONLY MEET CAT(S) AFTER SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION AND BEING APPROVED TO ADOPT.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

STEPS WE FOLLOW TO ADOPT: We have to have an adoption application filled out email us for an application at ccrescue614@yahoo.com we require it to be filled out for consideration to adopt a cat. We then review the application and check references, after review and verification of information we do a phone interview. Following all information being shared and discussed in application or in the phone interview a home visit is scheduled. After all of these steps are finished an appointment to meet the cat is set up. All cats are in private foster homes and an appointment must be set to meet and all applicants must be screened before an appointment can be set NO EXCEPTIONS! Once all steps are finalized to adopt we require adopters to pick up cats in location of the foster home. Adopters must bring their own carriers to transport cats safely home. 1) Adoption application filled out and submitted. 2) Rescue reviews application and information. 3) Check references. 4) Phone interview. 5) Home visit. 6) Meet cat(s). 7) Adoption.

Go meet their pets

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue located in Columbus, Ohio and surrounding area. Our cats come primarily from shelters and are then vetted and put into foster homes until they are placed in a forever home. We take in cats who are at risk then put them into rescue where they are safe and are at NO risk to be put to sleep. They are in private homes being fostered and then we work to get them adopted in homes to be loved and taken care of by their adoptive family for the remainder of their lives. We take adoptions very seriously. we are not a 501c3 at this time, but do hope to gain this status in the future. We are always taking donations to help pay vet bills and buy food for the cats in foster. We do not have 501c3 status so we can NOT give a tax deductible receipt for any donations. If you are interested in donating funds and would prefer to donate directly to the veterinary clinic we use in Columbus, please send an e-mail and we can share information with you where to donate.
