My name is Lucy!

Hello there, my name is Lucy, and I’m a beautiful adult tabby kitty with a quiet heart and a gentle soul. I’ve been at Furry Friends longer than most of the cats here, and while everyone has been so kind to me, I dream every day of finding a calm, loving home of my own.
I’m a kitty who tends to keep to herself. I’m calm, observant, and I like to take things slowly. But if you offer me some yummy treats, I might come over to say hello and let you see the softer side hiding beneath my shyness. I may not be the boldest girl in the room, but once I trust you, I’ll appreciate your presence more than you know.
I also want to share something important about me:
I’m FIV positive. This simply means my immune system might be a bit weaker as I get older. But don’t worry, many FIV+ cats live long, happy, perfectly normal lives with good care, regular vet visits, and a safe indoor environment.
And here’s the good news:
FIV is not contagious to humans or other animals.
It typically only spreads to other cats through serious bite wounds.
In a calm indoor home with friendly, sterilized cats, it’s very unlikely to spread at all.
