My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jasper! He is always at the door to greet his foster mom for pets and scratches. He loves attention and will demand it from you when he sees you. He will roll over for pets and loves to play with his toys. Jasper is very energetic especially during the late evening and very early hours of the night - running around, pouncing on his cat tree and chair, and wrestling with his foster friend LuLu. Jasper would do best being adopted along with LuLu, or to a home with another resident kitty that he can be friends with. He came to us from a hoarding situation of about 70 cats, and he does well with other kitties if introduced properly. Jasper is also slowly warming up to the dogs in his foster home, although he greatly prefers the adult dog in his foster home to the younger and more energetic puppy.

Jasper can be a bit shy at first with people he is unfamiliar with, but he warms up quickly! He would likely be a good fit in a variety of homes, but may warm up quicker to a home older, more cat-savvy kiddos vs one with super young children.

Jasper is about a year old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. He is a gorgeous playful kitty that deserves his forever home. Please apply for him (and LuLu?) today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
