My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woof! I am planting myself with you!

Hi! My name is Garner, but my foster parents call me their big goofball! As you can see, I’m a very handsome pup!!! I loved everything about meeting my three resident dog siblings and have a great time playing with them all day long.

I’m quite a chill pup, but I do have my daily zoomies! I love playing with almost any toy that there is! Tug-of-War ropes and squeaky toys are great, but bones are the best!

My foster parents say I'm really smart because I know how to sit, lay down, and wait. I've been potty trained since moving in with my foster parents. I’m walking fairly well on a leash and I love being outside but sometimes I get really excited when I see other dogs, critters, and people so I'm working on asking for permission before making new friends.

My safe place is my crate!! I sleep in there over night, go in there during the day while my foster parents are at work, and sometimes sneak into there for an afternoon nap even when the people are home.

I would love to meet you and make a happy addition to your family!!!

"Forget Me Not" Promo
For Applications received through 5/31/2024, Warrior Dog Rescue is taking $200 off of the adoption fee of select dogs over 2 years old that have often been over looked. This is reflected in the adoption fee shown below.
*Training discounts do not apply*

All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedures completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

More about this rescue

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”

Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
