Newman is a very compact English, he's young and still learning adult doggy manners which does not make him popular with some older dogs, but he does really well with younger, energetic and playful dogs. Newman knows how to sit when told and will do a cute dance for treats. Newman is just learning about cats, he likely hadn't seen them before. He moves cautiously around our confident male cat, but will bark and try to chase our skittish kitty if he has a chance. Newman came to us with severe kennel stress, but is learning that his kennel is his safe space to get away when he feels unsure. Newman has a lot of energy and needs to work his body and mind as to not get bored, but he can get distracted easily as he's still very young. Newman is very sweet and loving and will gladly roll over for belly rubs from a friendly hand. Newman would adapt well to many environments as long as he can sit at his persons feet or lay on by them on the couch at the end of the day. As Newman is still learning he can get a bit jumpy and mouthy when playing or overstimulated and would not be best placed in a home with young kids.
