I require basic force free dog obedience training classes. I can't wait to meet Joanna at For The Love of Paws Pet Services. This is a mandatory requirement to adopt me from Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society. This Non - Negotiable.

Training classes are NOT part of our rescue's adoption fee.

Hi my name is Gigi and I am spayed female Shih Tzu approximately 2 years old.

I came from a bad situation and I really don't want to dwell on my past. Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society agreed to intake me to their rescue when my former owner didn't want me anymore. Heart Prints helped me so I will never to be bred again, never to have sore teeth again. I am going to have the best life once I meet my new family.

I am looking for a kind patient family who understands I am going to have potty training mistakes because no one showed me until Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society came along.

I am getting better at using pee pads. I am going potty outside as long as you have a covered potty break area for me out of the wind and snow.

I like puffer dog jackets for those really cold days and nights. Please carry me outside and go with me. I don't make mistakes in my pottying.

I am crate trained for sleeping at nightime or when you are out of the house. I love naps in your arms and if you let me sleep in the people bed best night ever if not thats ok too.

I need someone who knows they MUST clean my eyes daily of eye goop or I can get eye infections easily. I don't like it but I tolerate it.

I am just starting to give kisses to my foster mum. I love her she gives me yummy treats. I get so excited about meal times I dance on my hind legs.

I do bark so I am not suitable for, apartments, condos or townhouses. I bark when excited or playing, eating my food and your in my space meaning another dog, barking at the door or people coming going in a busy house wouldn't work for me.

I am looking for a quiet home without cats, NO big dogs or medium-sized dogs. No children as well. They scare me.

I look forward to meeting you soon at a meet and greet day. Please contact my rescue for meet and greet days dates.

More about this rescue

We are a 100% not-for-profit society and are volunteer-run and are located in the Edmonton capital region. We are a foster home placement-based rescue. There is NO SHELTER with our rescue. Our rescue works closely with several local rescue groups in Alberta. We have worked with rescue shelters in the United States, and we will transport small breed dogs that are about to be euthanized, then place the dogs in foster homes until a forever family is found. We will provide care for toy-sized and small-breed dogs whose owners are no longer able to care for them. They are placed in stable foster homes until a forever home is found.
