Bio:
Hi my name is Bear I was born on July 7th, 2023. I came to Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society as a very sick puppy.

I had parasites coccidia, giardia and round worms.
It took 3 rounds of parasite medication to get me healthy again.

I was neutered in December 2023.

I am crate trained for sleeping at nightime but I would prefer to be in bed with you. I do better with lots of blankets in my crate and a friend to sleep with.

I LOVE Cookie and my friend Licorice we like to sleep with each other. I am now learning to take naps in my crate without having Cookie or Licorice present.

I am going through the puppy stage that things that didn't scare me before do now.

I will bark in my crate but I settle down once I know its bedtime and your not letting me out see I am trying to get my own way to sleep in the people bed. ha ha.

If I am yelling in my crate and pawing the crate door let me outside NOW I have to pee and poop NOW. I will go do my pottying outside.

I need lots of appropriate chew toys, enrichment treats like lick mats, and treat balls etc... I have been known to chew inappropriate things because I am a puppy and still learning. This where Joanna at For The Love Of Paws Pet Services comes in to help me and my new family.

I require basic force free dog obedience training classes. I can't wait to meet Joanna at For The Love of Paws Pet Services. This is a mandatory requirement to adopt me from Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society. This Non - Negotiable.

Training is not included in my adoption fee and it is a separate cost to my adoptive family. Training will help us bond and I will be the best puppy ever.
.
I know this is a novel about me but it's best if you know ALL about me first.

I am a very loving pup and I love to give kisses and snug with you on the couch, or a chair watching TV.
I love playing fetch and chewing in my toys.

I can be very vocal about some things so I am not suitable for Apartments, Condos, townhouses.
Sorry but NO is NO my rescue knows what is best for me.

Let's be honest I want a yard to play with you in, and I love running around when the weather is nice outside. Let's meet at one of my rescue's meet and greet days.

Please introduce yourself, family and home environment when you email my rescue. (If this step is missed you will not receive a response back from Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society.)

More about this rescue

We are a 100% not-for-profit society and are volunteer-run and are located in the Edmonton capital region. We are a foster home placement-based rescue. There is NO SHELTER with our rescue. Our rescue works closely with several local rescue groups in Alberta. We have worked with rescue shelters in the United States, and we will transport small breed dogs that are about to be euthanized, then place the dogs in foster homes until a forever family is found. We will provide care for toy-sized and small-breed dogs whose owners are no longer able to care for them. They are placed in stable foster homes until a forever home is found.
