I want to introduce you to your new pup, Scouty Bean! Scouty Bean is looking for that forever home to live out his golden years. He’s 11 years old, but you would never know it in terms of how he moves, jumps, and acts. He loves being around people and is very low-key, but he does like his personal space and would not be considered a “lap dog.”
This sprite old man has been living up life, enjoying long walks throughout Uptown and even longer naps on the couch. Scouty Bean loves to tag along with his person to the mailbox, the refrigerator, down the hall, to the bathroom… he’s game to follow!
Scouty Bean is extremely chill, non-aggressive with other dogs—almost disinterested. He would be fine in a home with and without dogs. He has not been introduced to cats but has barked at some stray cats as they walk by his window. While Scouty Bean is crate-trained, he is not a big chewer and can be left out without making a mess or having an accident.
Before emailing- please read:

Please see our adoptable pets page for a list of the current pets that we have for adoption.
All interested applicants must complete an adoption application for the pet that you are interested in. Applications are considered in the order in which they are received.
One of our volunteers will review the application and contact you via email or phone to ask any questions that we might have. We also reserve the right to perform a home visit for any adoption. During a home visit, a Catering to Cats and Dogs volunteer will come to your house to see where your new pet will live.
If you are not sure which one of our adoptable pets would be right for you, please contact us and we would be happy to advise you as to which pet may be a match, just let us know what you are looking for.
Once your application is approved and a match is found, you will be required to sign an adoption contract and pay the recovery fee
