My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ruth - The Curious Charmer with a Playful Spirit!

Ruth is a juvenile female kitten with a sleek black coat that gleams with elegance and charm. With a playful demeanor and a curious nature, Ruth is ready to add a spark of joy and curiosity to your home, making every day a delightful adventure.

Ruth's playful spirit shines through as she is often energetic and loves engaging in playful activities. However, she also has a calm and laid-back side, appreciating quiet moments of relaxation. Rarely shy or fearful, Ruth's curiosity drives her to explore and discover new experiences.

A social butterfly, Ruth adores the company of other cats, showcasing her friendly and outgoing personality. Although she hasn't been exposed to dogs, her adaptable nature suggests she would likely make friends with other pets easily.

Ruth is a toy enthusiast, always ready to chase toys along the floor and indulge in playtime. Her love for watching the world from the window reflects her inquisitive nature, as she enjoys observing her surroundings and staying curious about what's happening outside.

When not playing or exploring, Ruth can be found lounging around, enjoying moments of tranquility. She is social and friendly with both children and adults, making her a wonderful companion for families of all ages. Ruth is reserved but approachable by strangers, showcasing her gentle and welcoming demeanor.

Ruth can be handled and loves cuddling up close. She enjoys laying at your feet while you sleep and will give affectionate licks to show her love. If you're looking for a curious charmer with a playful spirit and a heart full of love, Ruth is the perfect match. Don't miss the chance to welcome this delightful companion into your life!

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue. Adoption events are held regularly in the community at Petco Winchester and some kittens are housed at the Petco in Warrenton. Additional events are held at area festivals, wineries, breweries, and parks. Approved adopters can schedule a private meet and greet with their chosen pet.

More about this rescue

Shady’s Paw Animal Rescue works to improve the lives of cats and the people who care for them in Lake Holiday and the surrounding areas through 1) TNR and colony management, 2) fostering and adoptions, 3) educating the public on best practices for feline care in the home or colony setting, and 4) supporting the needs of cats in the communities we serve.
