- Submit Application
- Apply online at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SHDY/Cat
- Interview
- We will call to discuss the kind of cat you would like to add to your family. We will also contact your vet and references so let them know!
- Approve Application
- You receive an email with a tentative approval pending your home visit, with a link to schedule it at your convenience.
- Home Check
- A quick video home visit to alert you to any dangers in your home or areas of concerns for a cat (example - crystal glassware on shelves).
- Meet the Pet
- Come meet a specific cat at a meet and greet planned for you or come to one of our adoption events to pick out your new friend.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- The adoption contract lists your responsibilities for the safety and health of your new family member.
- Pay Fee
- Standard domestics: $150 young kitten, $125 juvenile kitten, $75 adult. You pay when you adopt or if you choose to reserve.
