My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS CAT IS SPECIAL NEEDS. I am not seeing where to add that in posting to the website.

Meet Ravi, a stunning Seal Point Siamese 7-month-old kitten. Ravi was pulled from a shelter in Northern California last September. He came to rescue with two pelvic fractures, nerve spine damage and two injured back legs. He needed cage rest for 8 weeks. His vet care team later evaluated him and felt his left leg was viable and functional. He would be able to scoot around easily and use it for balance. They decided it best to amputate his right leg. It was not viable and was giving him difficulty with his mobility. The surgery has been done and he is completely healed now. He races around on his three legs as quickly as his four-legged friends. He had a UTI when he came in rescue and was on a round of antibiotics. That has been clear now on his last two cultures.
Ravi is incontinent but very easy to express both his pee and stools. If he goes too long between expressions, he might leak urine slightly. He runs around the house wearing his designer diapers proudly! He is good on his current schedule and most of the day is out and about with his furry companions.
He is a very special affectionate, playful loving guy even after all he has been through. He loves to stretch out on his blanket and purrs and purrs for belly rubs. He loves his springs and crinkle balls. He knows how much his humans have done for him and he is now ready to start his life with his new people. He is looking for an experienced care giver who has cared for special needs kitties. They will find it very rewarding helping this precious loving guy. He is an amazing boy.

Ravi is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

He currently lives with his foster family in Davis.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Ravi please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Laurel at laurel@faganhome.com or 15303042836. If you are unable to reach Laurel please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.

Additional adoption info

READY TO ADOPT?
The first step in the adoption process for your new kitty is to submit an adoption application. The second step is to contact the foster home listed on the specific cat(s) or kittens you are interested in to find out more. Are you adopting a kitten? Kittens do best when they have a friend or two to grow up with! Kittens who grow up with another feline friend tend to be well-behaved, well-adjusted, and overall happier. Purebred Plus Cat Rescue kittens are typically adopted as pairs or as a single kitten to homes with an appropriate feline playmate. If you prefer only one kitten, we strongly encourage you to consider one of our wonderful older kittens or young adult cats that are available!

Go meet their pets

Our cats are neutered or spayed, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested. We are not a shelter. All of our cats are fostered in private homes. The whole goal of the adoption process is to ensure the cat or kitten is a good fit for you, the adopter, and your environment. We are looking for the best fit NOT first come first serve. We always focus on what is the best for the cat or kitten.

When you adopt from Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue, you are saving TWO lives - the cat you adopt and the cat who gets to take its place in rescue!

More about this rescue

We carefully match cats with their forever families by evaluating each cat's personality, temperament, and special needs.
